The Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium will be held in Moscow, Russia, from the 18th to the 21st of August, 2009.
Professor Luca Gammaitoni (NiPS laboratory) is organizing a special session of the conference entitled: Electromagnetic Noise Exploitation: from Stochastic Resonance to Energy Harvesting.
In the recent years it has been observed a growing interest in the potential exploitation of e.m. noise. From nanoscale systems operation to energy harvesting for powering autonomous electronic micro devices, noise is gaining new attention for its potentially beneficial role. This PIERS session is the place where different competences coming from different fields can meet in a high quality scientific environment. Interested contributors are invited to submit their abstract. The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 20 February, 2009.
