How to apply

1) Please, compile the following registration form

2) You will receive by email a confirmation of admission with instructions for the payment of the registration fee.

3) After the payment your registration is completed and you will receive an invoice.

Please notice that school attendance is limited and the participation will be assessed on a first-come/first-serve basis, subjected to acceptance from the Organizing Committee.

The registration fee includes: 5 coffee breaks, 3 lunches and  the social dinner. Moreover, a programmed excursion is included.

Registration (until 31st of August 2021): 450 €

Late registration (from 1st August 2021):  600 €

Accompanying persons: 80 €, that include welcome cocktail, transfer to the excursion site, excursion (guided tour), social dinner.

Venue and accommodation

NiPS Summer School 2021 is held at the Hotel Giò in Perugia, (Italy), via Ruggero D’Andreotto 19 – 06124 Perugia

The hotel offers free internet wifi, a swimming pool, a gym and more other services.
For the accommodation, the School attendees can contact the Hotel Gio (https://www.hotelgio.it/en/) communicating the promo code “NiPS-EnABLES Summer School”, rooms are available at the following rates:

the price includes overnight stay and breakfast, tourist taxes (additional 2 € per day) are NOT included.
Other accommodations are available at short distances and in the center area.
The Hotel Gio is located near the railway station of Fontivegge (about 1 km) and not far from the historical center of Perugia.

The Summer school is scheduled to start on September 15th. Lectures will start on September 16th at 9:00, for a detailed program, please see the event agenda.

Lectures will run on mornings and afternoons from 9:00 to 18:00. On September 17th at 16:00 it is foreseen a touristic guided excursion and, following, the social dinner in a special location.

Accompanying persons are welcome to the summer school. Touristic attractions and cultural events, will be running in Perugia during the summer school days and are located at walking distance from the school site.

 


How to reach Perugia

  • By Air
    The closest airport to Perugia is the San Francesco airport located at 15 min drive.
    Central Italy’s closest major airports are in RomePisa, and Florence. These can be easily reached by train, bus or car.
    The major international gateway is Rome’s Aeroporto Leonardo da Vinci, known as Fiumicino (FCO) (30 km/19 mi southwest of Rome).
    Pisa’s Aeroporto Galileo Galilei (PSA) (12 km/7 mi south of Pisa and 80 km (50 mi) west of Florence) has flights from London, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris)
    Florence’s Aeroporto A. Vespucci, known as Peretola (FLR) (10 km/6 mi northwest of Florence), has connections to Brussels, Paris, London, Rome, and Milan.
  • By Train
    Arrival at Perugia Fontivegge Railways Station.Information on train schedule are available here: Trenitalia.
  • By Car
    From the north the best exit to Perugia on the A1 motorway is Valdichiana, where the superstrada SS75bis branches into Umbria at Lake Trasimeno and goes on towards Perugia. From Rome travelling northwards along the A1 motorway the best exit is Orte, which connect to the E45 (or SS3bis) from Terni to Perugia. Check route.
  • By Bus
    You can reach Perugia by bus from Fiumicino, Rome, Milan, Florence. For more information visit the main bus service of the area.

Social Event

The Social Event will take place Friday the 17th of September: a guided tour in an historical winery (Cantine Blasi) to discover the secrets and to taste one of the most appreciated products of Umbrian land, the wine.
